2008 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class

Even better than the 2007 version, the 2008 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is possibly the greatest innovation in SUV vehicles available to consumers. Standard options include full-time four wheel drive, and airbags for the first and second row and full-row curtain ones.

ESP stability control is also standard, along with antilock brakes – featured with Brake Assist – and active headrests. These are made in order to limit any potential injuries, such as whiplash, during accidents. There are also a variety of options available for extra luxuries and features including an Off-Road package.

The Off-Road package comes with a Class IV hitch, an adaptive-damping suspension system, skid plates for the under body of the vehicle, and locking differential.

Extra options for the 2008 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class include a DVD navigation system, rear-seat entertainment, wheel designs, adaptive cruise control, and an audio system with an upgraded surround sound system.

2007 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class

Mercedes-Benz introduces an exceptional SUV model with their 2007 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class. The GL-Class marks the first time offering of an SUV with all the ruggedness, room and comforts of an SUV and all the class and luxury for which Mercedes are known.

The 2007 GL-Class features a seven-speed automatic transmission, a small steering column, and the ability to select gears electronically. Furthermore, drivers can actually change gears by tapping the steering stalk forward and backwards.

Not only can the 2007 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class seat up to seven passengers, but with the press of a button, a third row of seats can be stowed in the floor, thereby creating more room – and a flat surface. Four wheel drive comes standard, and it is always on, working well with adjustable air suspension – which also comes standard – and power steering which is sensitive to the speed.

As always with Mercedes, the GL-Class comes complete with many standard safety features, including front airbags for the front seats, seat-mounted airbags for the first two rows, and curtain-style airbags for all three rows.
